Orb of Creation Brewing

Brewing is the alchemy branch focused on potions, oils, and liquid consumables. Every brewing recipe produces a potion that either boosts your character temporarily or accelerates another alchemy branch. In Orb of Creation v0.6 beta, brewing is the connective tissue between Water automation, ritual combat survival, and transmutation throughput. Neglecting brewing because you prefer spells means leaving alchemy power on the table across every other branch.

Unlocking and Leveling Brewing

Brew Mana Potion is the gateway brewing recipe, requiring Magic Alchemy and sufficient Control investment. Once Water flows from Learn Flow, automate water through transmutation and begin brewing mana potions immediately. Each brew has its own brewing time and resource drain. Recipe mastery levels increase individually, and your total brewing level equals the sum of all recipe masteries.

Seventeen brewing alchemy recipes exist across the full game, ranging from basic mana regeneration potions to Transmutation Oil and Herbalist's Brew. Improved Brewing upgrades grant speed, XP, and free usage slots that effectively add one level to brewing recipes without additional resource cost. Free usage slots are disproportionately valuable for high-drain recipes.

Critical Potions and When to Use Them

Mana potions are mandatory for ritual combat once Convert Blaze enters your rotation. Drink from the Q slot immediately before or during channeled casts to sustain mana regeneration through the channel. Level twenty mana potions provide stronger regeneration boosts that change ritual math entirely.

Transmutation Oil accelerates transmutation production for bulk crafting sessions. Use it before running Condensed Time combinations or when pushing overflow burst purchases that depend on passive alchemy output. Expansion Elixirs extend augment duration, critical for maintaining permanent buff chains while swapping spells on your bar.

Brewing Equipment and Boosts

Brewing Rod increases brewing power, speed, and XP. Cauldron reduces resource drain per brew. Calculated Stirring boosts overdrive XP for brewing recipes. Potion Mastery reduces time required per brew. Condense Time spell tag effects apply to brewing speed alongside these equipment pieces. Stack boosts before leveling expensive recipes to minimize total resource investment.

Bind your most-used potions to Q and W first, then E and R as slots unlock through progression. Keep a mental split between combat utility loadouts and alchemy utility loadouts even though the game uses one shared bar. Before rituals, ensure Q holds your highest-level mana potion. Before transmutation pushes, swap W to Transmutation Oil.

Brewing in the v0.6 Beta Meta

v0.6 beta reduces passive waiting but increases capacity gates, making brewing's alchemy power bonus more valuable relative to raw potion consumption. Level brewing continuously even if potions feel unnecessary at your current stage. The alchemy power bonus applies to transmutation and herbalism recipes you run constantly, not just to the potions you drink.

Water automation through transmutation should precede serious brewing investment. Manual water conjuring is too slow to sustain potion production chains. Once water flows passively, brewing becomes a low-attention background system that raises your entire alchemy throughput while producing combat consumables as a side benefit.
