Orb of Creation v1.0.3 — Balance and Agromancy Overhaul

Full v1.0.3 patch notes July 1 2026: Agromancy growth halved, Rally zeal mechanic, attribute rank rebalance, ritual tedium reduction, and research speed improvements.

v1.0.3 released July 1, 2026 addressing community feedback on Agromancy obtuseness, ritual tedium, and attribute spam. Marple halved upfront waiting times, rebalanced passive generation versus active choices, and introduced the Rally mechanic for zeal in rituals.

Agromancy Changes

  • All plant growth times roughly halved — Oak Tree 4 minutes to 1 minute
  • Weaving times cut to about one-third for all plot nodes
  • Empty plot recovery: 60 seconds to 40 seconds
  • Force tree and herb recovery decreased ~25%
  • Void Moss Extract removed, replaced with Destroy action
  • Druidry Level weave cost multiplier: x5.25 to x5
  • Growth Shard artifact: +80% Total Growth Speed, +40% Total Recovery Speed
  • Threads of Growth: +250% growing and resting speed (later +350% in v1.0.4)

Rituals and Zeal Rally

  • Active rituals no longer decrease zeal recovery rate
  • Active ritual zeal capacity penalty: -10% to -5%
  • New Rally mechanic: 5x zeal generation up to threshold starting at 20
  • Mystic Rally research repurposed for Rally synergy
  • Shine ritual zeal cost: 60 to 40
  • Restoration cost requirements lowered by 1e3

Attributes, Alchemy, and Research

  • Attribute ranks: +3 Effect Levels to +1 per rank, cost x2 per rank
  • Resource splash no longer affects resource rarity
  • Two additional cheap alchemy discoveries added
  • Discovery RNG prefers usable or nearly-usable options
  • Research times improved — Tech 60s to 20s
  • Expert research cost scaling slightly reduced
  • Improved Casting: x1.40 to x1.50 Cantrip Power
  • Weave Mastery: +25% to +40% Weave Speed

Achievements and New Game+ Speed

Orbular Growth achievement: x1.04 to x1.05 Mana Gained. Spellslinger: x1.08 to x1.12 Cantrip Power plus new x1.08 Cantrip Cooldown Speed. These buffs specifically target early New Game+ run speed after community feedback on slow restarts.
